We finally came in to try this after and we had a very nice experience. The atmosphere, service and attention to detail was really wonderful. You can tell this place is run well. On to the food...overall it was excellent. We had a delicious non alcoholic Riesling, compliments of the house because we were celebrating our anniversary. :) We had the Parker House Rolls, Miso-Broiled Sea Bass, Ginger-Scallion Brick Chicken, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice and Roasted Cherry Tomato Tart. The standouts for me were the Spicy Tuna, Sea Bass and Tart. There are so many other things on the menu Id love to try. Great spot!
Decided to check this place out after seeing it was a Michael Mina restaurant and I was definitely impressed. My girlfriend and I came here on a Friday night and it felt like a date night type of spot. We ordered the nigiri platter and the spicy tuna crispy rice. The nigiri platter was good, but I'd probably get something else next time or try to get reservations for their secret sushi omakase. We also ordered the crab pasta which was 10/10. It was creamy and full of flavor. As for drinks we had the no scrubs, as well as a 3 day aged Paloma that was on the house thanks to the bar lead. He gave us 2 other drinks to try and we were only charged for 1. So nice! I'd definitely come back to try more entrees or do the omakase.
Wow what a pretty place to be and celebrate with loved ones. Were were there twice within 8 days but it was an awesome experience both times. The food pictures does not do any justice to the taste as they were mesmerizing.Love the servers and the whole place is vibrant and it's a joy to be there. We met amazing people like Marco,Tamara,Peter and Carter who helped us during our visits and meals. Looking forward to going there again soon. The ambiance upstairs and view was spectacular,We sat on the patio both times and the breeze was refreshing. Thank you everyone, until next time
Came back for their lobster fest. At brunch time. Got the lobster "ceviche" and lobster bucatini. Inhaled both. This time the same two friends and I sat in a darker corner by the bar which was a vibe. They seated us earlier than our reservation which was so nice because we were getting hangry. They also felt terrible that we asked for something on the online menu (the crepe cake) and they didn't have it. So they gave us 2 other desserts for free. And the cutest mini aperol spritz beverage. I need to come here for dinner!
Everything was delicious! Maddie was amazing and made our brunch experience. We enjoyed every bit of our time at Bungalow Kitchen!
Lobster Pot Pie, who ever heard of that? Someone's imagination at Bungalow's. Presentation a 10, service a 10, tongue smackin goodness, OMG, 10+. Coupled with butter lettuce salad, and amazing dressing, and finished with their version of key lime pie, made the whole experience so uniquely special. When I made the reservation, which is necessary, they called to confirm and asked if it was a special occasion, and yes, my wife's birthday. Well, to start the evening as we were being seated she was 'happy birthdayed, and EVERYONE coming to our table greeted her the same way. The staff training must be stellar!!! Small things are the BIG things in life and in restaurants, but they are usually not practiced. It is common to remove dishes as each person is finished, but it leaves the last person eating by themselves, which is rude. The bus staff was quietly attentive, I mean non intrusive, and politely waited until we were both finished and talking to address the table to clear. There is a massive difference between eating and dining and The Bungalow Kitchen is a dining experience. Congratulations to everyone who helped us have a great experience. Too bad there are only five stars!!!
Great views and excellent service at Bungalow! It's our first visit at this Mina restaurant and we're pleasantly greeted by friendly service from the hostess to our super warm and attentive waiter, Niko! I'd say he and the team here are in the top 5% of wait staff, being welcoming (but not intrusive), consistently on point from beginning to end (even with a full house and large tables in the mix) and coming across as genuinely interested in their customers. Well done! We had an early Sunday dinner and tried their famous lobster pot pie - it's intense and decadent - and gigantic! My favorite item was actually the lobster corn soup, not exaggerating when I say it's my favorite corn soup I've ever had - get this!! I know the tuna tartar is supposed to be popular too but I didn't love the flavor profile myself - this was my least favorite item - but the tuna mixing at table was fun and engaging. Restaurant is beautifully decorated with outdoor seating views of San Francisco! There's valet or paid lot parking nearby. Or ferry is right outside the restaurant.
The food was remarkable for brunch. Tuna tartare. The phylo fish, lobster bread bowl , the french toast and shortest were absolutely amazing. Cat our waitresss was exceptionally nice and helpful with great recommendations. The lobster toast , I was looking got and to it, but it was not special in any way. It was Missing flavor and texture and was a little dry. The views are gorgeous and the inside is so nice.
